About seven years ago, I became obsessed with international travel. Since then I’ve visited places from Machu Picchu in Peru to Shanghai to Poland. There’s something about traveling outside the U.S. …the people, the food, the unknown…that I find so much more thrilling. Therefore, when it comes time for vacation, I am never one to take little weekend excursions or short trips. Instead, I save up and plan my next big trip. Last year, it was Asia (India, China and Japan). The year before that was Peru and Paris. The year before that was Spain. And you get the picture…
While I’m definitely still plotting my next international travels – I’m thinking New Zealand or South Africa – I have recently been interested in more domestic travels. After some quick trips this year to San Francisco, L.A. and New York, I forgot how nice U.S. vacations can be. While I’ve been quite a few places already in the U.S., there’s still so much more to see! So I’ve created my North American (since I included a few Canadian cities) bucket list…
· Las Vegas – It’s ridiculous that I’ve still not been here.
· Austin, TX
· Seattle/Vancouver
· Philadelphia
· Grand Canyon
· Portland, OR
· Quebec
· Toronto
· New Orleans – Mardi Gras 2011??
It’s time to re-ignite my love of North American travel…
